West Stafford Playing Field is a voluntary run Play Park for all the children of the village. Established over twenty-five years ago and still going strong today with the help of a dedicated band of volunteers.

The Playing Field is funded by charitable donations, fundraising events and a small village precept to pay for the insurance. Contributions, donations and help are always welcome.

There is lots to do at the park with swings, climbing frames, two slides, football nets and a basketball hoop. For the younger children there is the ever popular Wendy House, bucket swing and The Old Tractor. The park is situated at the end of Rectory Lane next door to the pony paddock. For more information, or if you would like to contribute or help please contact as above.

PLAYING FIELD NEWS

On behalf of all the children of the village and users of the playground, we thank you for supporting our Carol Singing. Thanks to your generosity we raised £173. A huge thanks to Barn Arts Trio and all our carol singers who remained harmonious despite increasing sogginess!

A hearty thanks to Philip and his team at The Wise Man for their warm welcome.

Yet again we ended our evening 'merrily on high'.

THE PLAYGROUND COMMITTEE THANKS YOU FOR YOUR TREMENDOUS SUPPORT AND WISHES YOU A 2014 FULL OF 'TIDINGS OF COMFORT AND JOY'.

We have recently installed a windmill (pictured) to deter moles from damaging the football pitch in particular and the playground as a whole.

Please help us keep the windmill safe, in good condition and active by staying away from it.

The manufacturer claims, "Wind powered lawn fan creates a constant vibration to effectively and humanely rid your grounds of moles."
